Seeking for good journals with low or free cost for paper publish ?

Dear all, I am drafting my paper to publish. My research studies the effects of synchronous voice-based chat (mobile-assisted language learning ) on Chinese EFL learners' speaking performance and anxiety levels.

I found the "Journal of Asia TEFL", it requires me to become a member and pay the membership fees. Do you know about this journal. Do you have any other suggestions for me?

Check this: https://beallslist.weebly.com/ to see if Journal of Asia TEFL is on the list. If it is, you should probably avoid it. There are several journals that publish for free (depends if your article needs to be open-access). Try Glossa (https://www.glossa-journal.org/), System, Lingua (these last two are free to publish unless you require instant open-access, in which case you need to pay a fee). You should avoid journals that charge a membership fee (could suggest that they are predatory).

Journal of Asia TEFL has been around for at least 20 years, and is a refereed international journal, that is 'indexed' in SCOPUS. You do have to become a member of Asia TEFL ( around $20- for which you get a year's subscription to the Journal and various other benefits) ) which is a LOT less expensive than many of the journals that charge publication fees. It is also interested in mobile assisted language learning , so might be interested in your paper. You might want to give it a try?
